Ministries - Youth K-6th

MID-WEEK YOUTH (September - May)

Children meet at the church from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. each Wednesday. We use AWANA materials (Sparks and TNT) thru 6th grade. The infant/toddler rooms are staffed so those parents who are helping teach have a safe place to bring their little ones. All ages, from pre-school through 6th grade, meet with their own age group and the teaching emphasis is on a daily quiet time with God, scripture memory, and learning how to live for Christ.

"Kids for Christ" AWANA

The Awana program offers clear, consistent presentation of the gospel, scripture memory, games, a fun approach to learning God's Word. Each 90 minute session features three segments: Game Time, Handbook Time and Council Time. During Game Time, the boys and girls play games on the unique Awana Game Square. The final segment Council Time, consists of singing, puppets, Bible stories and lessons based on Christian principles.

"Kids for Christ" AWANA
             3rd - 6th Grade

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third-through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders.

T & T is equipped with a variety of dynamic tools to get kids excited about God's Word.

1. Four handbooks of increasing difficulty which teach children that life's ultimate adventure is a
persons relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. A cast of fun characters that boys and girls learn from and follow on interesting journeys in the handbooks.
3. Weekly meetings that expose children to the gospel message, Scripture memory, Bible study, awards, team-oriented games and lots of fun.
4. A Bible-centered curriculum that helps kids build a firm foundation for their faith, hide God's Word in their heart and apply the truths of Scripture to their daily lives.
5. Interactive CD's that use exciting high-tech games to teach and reinforce key biblical truths.

Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand in our third - through sixth-grade program. By the time a child has completed T & T, he will have:

1. Learned and reviewed approximately 310 verses.
2. Studied dozens of passages from the Old and New Testament.
3. Regularly heard and read the gospel message.
4. Discovered the Bible's response to questions like "How does God want me to live my life?" and memorize verses to back up these answers.
